Well.... the Mercer gang is having an awesome time in Northern California. We flew out on Tuesday and will return home this weekend with no time to spare before picking up where we left off with work and other activities. We will be tired and worn out but will have sweet dreams about the fun times we've had out here.
Our flight out here was Skylar's first time flying. We were totally nervous about flying with her. Confined spaces, other people being annoyed with your kid if they cry, carrying food, toys, etc. We had our selves tied in knots about the whole thing. And afterwards....it wasn't so bad. We took a backpack and put in it baby food, snacks, diapers, toys and an extra outfit. It turned out to be perfect. She read all the magizines in the seat pocket and played with the miniature food items we were served. (I mean really people....let's step it up on the quality.)
Christmas was filled with family but we were missing a major player this year. Great Grandma Alice broke her hip like 3 days before we got out here. so it was a little sad. But we went and visited her and she is doing well and in pretty good spirts about everything.
Today, we experienced another new first for Skylar. We took her to ride horses. She had a blast. We think out little girl may turn out to be a little dare devil!! Watch out boys....there's competition on the girls team!!!
Well that's it for now. Look at the following few posts to see the pics that go along with this windy note.
We hope eveyone reading this had a very Merry Christmas!!!!
