I wanted to update everyone on the new things that Skylar is doing. A few days ago Skylar started picking up her pacifier and putting it into her mouth. She has great aim but she is still working on her motor skills. What I mean to say is, she can't let go of if. So we are working through her frustrations with that.
She is rolling over and starting to sit. She needs pillows to support her when she sits but she is working hard on gaining muscle control. Dirk and I also like to let Skylar walk around the house. She understands the whole one foot in front of the other idea but she is way too wobbly to walk on her own. Not to mention totally not ready. She needs to crawl first. We work on that too but she isn't very fond of tummy time.
Tonight we had a fun event. Dirk and I, when we enter a room where Skylar is, we always say "Hi" and wave our hands at her. Tonight we were hanging out, Dirk and Skylar on one side of the room and I on the other, I waved to Skylar. She lifted up her right hand and held in high in the air. Then she made her fingers go up and down. When I put my hand down she put her hand down. We thought that this was surely just a freek happening so we did it again. She did it again. She did this 4 different times.
It is such a treat to watch as Skylar learns new things. It is hard to keep up with them all because she is learning things every second of the day.

Skylar's First Easter
The Story of the Daffodil
Once upon a time there was a little bunny. The bunny was only 5 months old. She was new to the world and had a lot of things she had never experienced. One day her Mommy and Daddy thought it would be fun to take her picture in a beautiful garden. The little bunny had never seen a garden before much less a single flower. As soon as her Mommy and Daddy sat her down next to the flowers she noticed the beautiful colors. All she could think about was how beautiful the flowers were and...wondered just how yummy those flowers could be!?!

Man...they are the best snack ever!!!
